JSON
{
"value1": 7,
"value2": 11,
"value3": 13
}
will create the following variables:
| VarName_value1 | VarName_value2 | VarName_value3 |
|---|---|---|
| 7 | 11 | 13 |
Nested objects and arrays
Nested objects and arrays are flattened into one variable per value: the names are joined with _, and array
items are numbered from 0. Spaces anywhere in the resulting name, the variable name included, become _.
{
"motor": {
"speed rpm": 1450,
"phases": [230, 231]
}
}
will create the following variables:
| VarName_motor_speed_rpm | VarName_motor_phases_0 | VarName_motor_phases_1 |
|---|---|---|
| 1450 | 230 | 231 |
Reserved keys
The keys s, t, q and c are reserved. Capture Edge skips any key with exactly one of these names, at any
level and together with everything nested under it, without logging anything. The check is case-sensitive, so
T is kept.
{
"t": 21.5,
"h": 40
}
only creates VarName_h: the value of t is lost. Rename such keys, for example to temperature.
